When they are walking down the street, Harry is trying to look everywhere around him, taking in as much as possible. At the end of Diagon Alley, there is a snowy white building, huge in size: Gringotts. As they enter, a warning echoes through telling them rob at your own risk. Harry and Hagrid go up to a Goblin and explain they need to take some money out of Harry's vault. The Goblin asks for Harry's key and Hagrid presents it, after sorting through many other keys. The Goblin calls upon another Goblin named Griphook to take them down to the vault. Hagrid also states they need to be taken down to remove the You-Know-What in Vault 713. Griphook takes them to Harry's vault, where there is a large amount of money piled up there that Harry owns. There are Bronze Knuts, Silver Sickles, and Gold Galleons. Harry and Hagrid take a bit of the money for Harry's list, then leave Gringotts. Hagrid has to stand for a bit as the cart rides that takes them to the vaults make him sick. Griphook then takes them to Vault 713 where Hagrid removes a grubby little package but can't tell Harry what it is.

Earthquakes, essentially sound waves in Earth’s crust, are an interesting example of how the speed of sound depends on the rigidity of the medium. Earthquakes have both longitudinal and transverse components, and these travel at different speeds. The bulk modulus of granite is greater than its shear modulus. For that reason, the speed of longitudinal or pressure waves (P-waves) in earthquakes in granite is significantly higher than the speed of transverse or shear waves (S-waves). Both components of earthquakes travel slower in less rigid material, such as sediments. P-waves have speeds of 4 to 7 km/s, and S-waves correspondingly range in speed from 2 to 5 km/s, both being faster in more rigid material. The P-wave gets progressively farther ahead of the S-wave as they travel through Earth’s crust. The time between the P- and S-waves is routinely used to determine the distance to their source, the epicenter of the earthquake.
"Hedwig's Theme" is the leitmotif for the film series. Often labelled as the series's main theme, it first appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in the track "Prologue." A concert arrangement of the same name is included in the end credits. "Hedwig's Theme" has been interpolated in the fourth through eighth Harry Potter film scores, including in those by Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper, and Alexandre Desplat. It also appears in the scores to the last four Harry Potter video games, all composed by James Hannigan. "Hedwig's Theme" has achieved significant pop culture status, being featured as ring tones, trailer music, and other forms of multimedia.

Absolutely brilliant. If your looking for a happy story, look somewhere else. Very dark, very depressing, if you have it in you to watch, you get a masterfully spun story of true pain, true guilt and loss. Also a very good depiction of mental health. With a final act that is JAW dropping. I've never written a review on here, but this is a masterpiece.
"That's Hagrid," said Harry, pleased to know something the boy didn't. "He works at Hogwarts."

Roger Ebert called Philosopher's Stone "a classic," giving the film four out of four stars, and particularly praising the Quidditch scenes' visual effects. [103] Praise was echoed by both The Telegraph and Empire reviewers, with Alan Morrison of the latter naming it the film's "stand-out sequence". [104] [105] Brian Linder of IGN also gave the film a positive review, but concluded that it "isn't perfect, but for me it's a nice supplement to a book series that I love". [106] Although criticising the final half-hour, Jeanne Aufmuth of Palo Alto Online stated that the film would "enchant even the most cynical of moviegoers." [107] USA Today reviewer Claudia Puig gave the film three out of four stars, especially praising the set design and Robbie Coltrane's portrayal of Hagrid, but criticised John Williams' score and concluded "ultimately many of the book's readers may wish for a more magical incarnation." [108] The sets, design, cinematography, effects and principal cast were all given praise from Kirk Honeycutt of The Hollywood Reporter, although he deemed John Williams' score "a great clanging, banging music box that simply will not shut up." [109] Todd McCarthy of Variety compared the film positively with Gone with the Wind and put "The script is faithful, the actors are just right, the sets, costumes, makeup and effects match and sometimes exceed anything one could imagine." [20] Jonathan Foreman of the New York Post recalled that the film was "remarkably faithful," to its literary counterpart as well as a "consistently entertaining if overlong adaptation." [110]

Quantum Mechanics: It explains the behaviours of atomic and subatomic systems of particles.</td></tr><tr><td>Clad in her ornate flower crown and sweat-soaked nightgown, she asks Camille, “Guess which Greek goddess I am?” With hazy focus, she launches into an explanation about Persephone, queen of the underworld. “She’s married to that big dude Hades. He runs hell, but she’s in charge of punishment,” she says as Adora beams with pride at her daughter. “I feel sorry for Persephone because even when she’s back with the living, they’re afraid of her because of where she’s been.” As Jean Marc-Vallée kept his camera trained on the looks passing between Camille (pained) and Adora (probing), I felt Persephone’s myth spoke mostly about them. Camille exerting punishment only on herself, Adora inflicting it on her children. But it also speaks to Amma, who learned how to hide her demons well and inflict damage on a greater number of people as a means to both exorcise her own traumas and revel in them. Perhaps this is why I kept rewatching the scenes nestled in the closing credits. The most potent is a chaotic montage of Amma, along with her two close cohorts, killing the girls of Wind Gap with a manic desire. The most bloodcurdling moment is watching Amma kill her new friend Mae, strangling her from behind. Mae’s painted fingernails interlaced in the fence, reaching out for a savior who will never come. Amma’s face is somewhere between barbed bliss and raw anger. Teeth bared, hair tousled on her face. She looks as she never has under Adora’s gaze — powerful, like the kind of woman who believes she’s in charge of her own narrative when in actuality she is simply replicating the lies her mother taught her: that beauty is the most powerful currency a woman can have, even in death, and that violence can be transcendent.</td></tr><tr><td>Series Premiere</td></tr><tr><td><a href=""></a></td></tr><tr><td>same moment he actually feels it in his pocket. This ironic situation is epitomized in the single appearance of German personnel in the novel, who act as pilots employed by the squadron's Mess Officer, Milo Minderbinder, to bomb the American encampment on Pianosa. This predicament indicates a tension between traditional motives for violence and the modern economic machine, which seems to generate violence simply as another means to profit, quite independent of geographical or ideological constraints which creates a military–industrial complex. [7] Heller emphasizes the danger of profit-seeking by portraying Milo without "evil intent." Milo's actions are portrayed as the result of greed, not malice.
